Academic focus

Margarita Tsoutsoura joins the Johnson School with an academic focus on empirical corporate finance, family firms, corporate governance, entrepreneurial finance, and household finance.

Experience

Most recently, Tsoutsoura was associate professor of finance at the Booth School of Business, University of Chicago. Her academic background includes a PhD in finance and economics from Columbia University, Graduate School of Business, an MS in financial engineering from the Haas School of Business, University of California at Berkeley, and a BSc, summa cum laude, in economics from the University of Piraeus, Greece.
