United Fresh Produce Executive Development Program

Welcome!

We’re looking forward to your participation in this year’s United Fresh Produce Executive Development Program at Cornell University. You join an impressive group of participants who, together with our outstanding faculty, will create a stimulating and challenging experience—one that will have a positive impact on your career.

Who Should Attend?

This program is designed for mid- to senior-level produce executives, including presidents, CEOs, vice presidents, directors, and others with management experience. More important than job title, however, are job responsibilities. If you are in a leadership position (or under consideration for one) and/or involved in your company’s strategic planning and execution, this program is for you. Space is limited; the maximum class size for the program is 45-50 participants to ensure a dynamic, yet intimate learning environment for participants.

General Details

Dress

Attire for the entire program is business casual. Weather can change from day to day, especially during March, so please be prepared for anything – rain, sleet, snow, and windy days are possible. Umbrellas are provided in your guest room.

Meals

Continental breakfasts and lunches are provided, as well as continuous refreshments throughout the day. Breakfast is available in the lobby outside of the classroom beginning at 7:00am, and lunch will be provided in the Terrace Retaurant, on the lower level.

You will be on your own for dinner on Monday March 23rd and Wednesday March 25th. This will provide an excellent opportunity to dine with your classmates at one of Ithaca’s many outstanding restaurants.

Travel and Lodging

The program kicks off on Sunday, March 22nd with a welcome reception at 6:30pm and concludes on Friday, March 27th around 12:30pm. Sunday’s reception will be in the Rowe Room on the 2nd floor of The Statler Hotel. The reception will be followed by dinner at 7:15pm and then a program overview.

Please complete a travel survey by March 2, 2020. You may also email the Food Industry Management Program to provide additional travel information and/or arrange accommodations not accounted for on the survey.

We have reserved a room for you at The Statler Hotel, centrally located on the Cornell campus and connected to the School of Hotel Administration. Your tuition covers the cost of lodging for five nights from Sunday March 22nd through Thursday March 26th, (check-out on Friday, March 27th).

Please keep in mind that if you arrive early on Saturday, March 21st or depart later than Friday March 27th, you will be personally responsible for the additional cost of lodging.
