The Cañizares Center for Emerging Markets Fellows program offers a unique experience for bright and motivated Johnson MBA students. The goal of the program is to prepare and support business leaders who seek a competitive advantage to become experts in emerging markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Requirements<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
Requirements to graduate as a Center Fellow vary according to the fellow’s program. Generally, the activities demand the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n
Academic credits (Johnson and non-Johnson courses are eligible) on international-content courses.\n
\n
6 credits for 2-Year MBA students<\/li>\n\n\n\n
4 credits for Cornell Tech MBA students<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Study trip or an internship in an emerging market (depending on the program)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Attend the annual conference<\/a> (held every November)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Service to the Cañizares Center for Emerging markets (there are many ways to serve the center, e.g. write an article to be published on Cornell Business News<\/a>, be an active member of the annual conference committee<\/a>, organize the Corning Case Competition<\/a>, organize the Mark Mobius Pitch Competition<\/a>, organize webinars\/T-time, be a Chair of your program, etc.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Non-Johnson MBA students:<\/strong> write a capstone project about a company in emerging markets<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
Current fellows are able to check the status of their requirements on the Center’s Canvas page. Fellows are invited after acceptance. If all requirements are fulfilled by graduation, the student will graduate as a fellow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you are interested in becoming a fellow, please fill out this survey<\/a>. We will respond to you within three weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When you apply, you will be added to a Canvas page where we share weekly announcements about activities, publications, and more. There are no interviews. The selection happens before graduation, and there’s no penalty if you decide to leave the program later.<\/p>\n\n\n
