The Center for Real Estate and Finance offers a variety of opportunities for students to engage with alumni and industry executives — the first step in building a career — through events, clubs, courses and internships.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The center also offers multiple case competitions, presentations and informal open sessions with high-level industry executives, as well as receptions for students to network with real estate alumni. With access to real-time industry databases during course study, students are always up on the current real estate trends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Real estate and finance courses<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

A variety of real estate and finance courses are available at the Cornell Peter and Stephanie Nolan School of Hotel Administration. For current offerings, please visit the university course catalog<\/a>. In addition, a minor in real estate is available for both undergraduates<\/a> and graduate<\/a> students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Real estate minor<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The minor in real estate is available to all undergraduate students enrolled at Cornell University<\/a>. The program prepares students for a career in commercial real estate and is built around three components: coursework, connections and careers. Students who minor in real estate have an opportunity to interact with other students across all of Cornell’s schools and have access to a strong alumni network — creating endless possibilities in the real estate industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For more information on the undergraduate minor in real estate<\/a>, freshman and sophomore students are asked to contact their “home” career office; juniors and seniors from all Cornell colleges have limited access to a real estate specialist in the Nolan School of Hotel Administration’s Career Management Office. The real estate minor coordinator can be reached at realestateminor@cornell.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Real estate treks<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The center has hosted both domestic and international real estate treks in partnership with the Association Real Estate Council<\/a>, Cornell Real Estate Club<\/a> and the Cornell Diversity and Inclusion in Real Estate<\/a> Club. In the spring semester of 2024, the clubs visited companies in New York City and Boston, MA including IHG<\/a>, Hines<\/a>, POAH<\/a>, TPG<\/a>, Avison Young<\/a>, Newmark<\/a>, PJT Partners<\/a>, Wells Fargo<\/a>, Related Companies<\/a>, J.P. Morgan<\/a>, and Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n
