Working with BRM: Entrepreneur and small business clients<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Self-employed residents, small business owners and non-profits in or near Tompkins County are eligible to apply!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Preference is given to applicants that meet one or more of the following criteria:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
- \n
- Operates a sustainability-focused business<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Identifies as a member of an underserved or underrepresented population<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Earns less than your county’s median income<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Local non-profit whose mission aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Business or organization has been operational for at least six months<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Limited access to the formal financial system due to poor credit history, lack of credit history, or limited collateral<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

\nCLIENT APPLICATION<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\nWorking with BRM: Students<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Big Red Microenterprise is open to first- and second-year MBA students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There will be information sessions and an application period during the fall semester. Watch Johnson Campus Groups and the Sage Hall digital signage for date and location!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Credit and requirements<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
Students will receive 0.5 credits in the 2nd half of Fall semester for participating in 4-5 training sessions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Students will work with their client during the Spring semester and receive 1 credit. Students will need to meet with their client, have check in meetings with the faculty overseeing the program, submit photos and a write up analyzing their work, and participate in a poster session at the end of the semester.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
