There has been much to celebrate at the Statler Hotel this winter. In January, the Statler received its second consecutive AAA Four Diamond Award and installed new state-of-the-art uniform tracking and delivery systems thanks to generous donations from White Conveyors and InvoTech Systems. The Statler has also launched a series of Taverna Banfi EDU events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This marks the second consecutive year that the Statler has won the AAA Four Diamond Award, an honor given to upscale establishments that offer an extensive array of amenities combined with a high degree of hospitality, service, and attention to detail. Only 3.8 percent of the 59,000 AAA-rated lodgings and restaurants throughout North America earn Four Diamond honors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“We are thrilled to receive the AAA Four Diamond Award again this year,” said Rick Adie \u201975, general manager. “The Statler Hotel is not only a living, learning laboratory for SHA students, it is also one of Cornell University’s central hubs and gathering places. Our guests are seeking a one-of-a-kind experience, and we take great pride in surpassing their expectations.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Furthering its commitment to top-level service, the Statler installed an automated U-Pick-It uniform delivery system from White Conveyors along with InvoTech\u2019s GIMS™ UHF-RFID uniform tracking system. The new systems, which were donated by White Conveyors and InvoTech in full, provide a dual advantage for the hotel. They increase the efficiency and cost effectiveness of the Statler\u2019s uniform management operations and also give students hands-on experience with one of the most innovative pieces of technology in the hotel business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Finally, the Statler Hotel is serving up sensational food and wine events for its new series, Taverna Banfi EDU. This series is open to the public, and all events will be held at the Statler\u2019s Taverna Banfi and Regent Lounge.
