The Master of Management in Hospitality Class of 2013 arrived in Ithaca in May, ready to embark on the 12-month, AACSB-accredited master’s program. There are a total of 65 students this year—41 students will stay in Ithaca for the full year, and 24 will spend six months in Ithaca and six months at the Cornell-Nanyang Institute (CNI) in Singapore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year’s MMH class comes from 18 countries on four continents: Canada, China, Denmark, Ecuador, France, Greece, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Macao, Russia, United States, Singapore, South Korea, Switzerland, Taiwan, Turkey, and Venezuela. U.S. students represent ten different states. The group has an average of 3.2 years of full-time hospitality experience. The average age of the students is 27, and participants’ ages range from 22 to 45 years old.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Like an MBA, the MMH degree prepares students to be theory-based, action-oriented leaders of executive management teams and entrepreneurial ventures. MMH graduates are entrepreneurs, restaurateurs, developers, analysts, consultants, corporate directors, and managers of hotels, resorts, and spas.
