Speaker<\/strong>: Dr. Anthony Neoh<\/a><\/strong>, a leading member of the Hong Kong Bar and previously a senior public servant in Hong Kong and Beijing, will speak on the importance of future Chinese economic, social and political development of the 19th Party Congress, which has just concluded in China, and what implications these developments might have for the World, in particular China’s relationship with the United States. He is well positioned to speak on this topic, having served as Chairman of the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission, and later the Chief Adviser of the China Securities Regulatory Commission from 1999 – 2004 at the personal invitation of then Premier Zhu Rongji, during which time he also served as International Economic Adviser to Governor Xi Jin Ping of Fujian, as he then was.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since returning to his legal practice in Hong Kong in 2004, he has served on the boards of major Chinese State Owned Enterprises, including Bank of China and China Life Insurance. He currently serves on the Board of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China and CITIC Limited. He is a member of the English, California and Hong Kong Bar and had been a Visiting Professor of Peking and Tsinghua Universities and the Harvard Law School. He is currently a Visiting Professor at the National University of Singapore Faculty of Business.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
