Project:<\/strong> Large institutions were increasingly purchasing carbon offsets or \u201cgreen credits\u201d as a way to reduce the environmental impacts of their energy use. With multiple options and new programs appearing almost weekly, it became extremely challenging to determine which system had the most impact per dollar, and which provided the most tangible, as well as intangible, benefits for participation.
