We conduct research and offer educational programs targeted toward tax preparers, consultants, and attorneys who work with and prepare tax returns for individuals, small businesses and farmers.<\/p>\n

Our programs<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The programs qualify for IRS Continuing Education credits. Depending on the class, there are 2—16 CPE Credits Available for New York State CPAs and 15 CPE Credits for Other Tax Return Preparers and Enrolled Agents. Certain classes also meet CFP Board requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n

Two-day income tax conference<\/a><\/h3>\n \n
\n

The two-day program is a faster paced program that covers tax law updates and individual income tax issues (Form 1040). It also includes information on LLC, Partnership, Corporate and Estate and Gift Issues where applicable.<\/p>\n

Ethics<\/h3>\n \n

This program is for IRS requirements only, not NYS. Ethics is presented as a stand-alone, two hour virtual session.<\/p>\n

We offer a variety of detailed courses on business entities and issues such as: Limited Liability Companies, estate and gift issues and S Corporations.<\/p>\n

We announce our tax programs through email. If you have not been receiving our emails, there could be three reasons:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Our messages are going to your Junk or Spam email folder. To ensure you receive our communications, go to your Junk email setting and add “@cornell.edu” to your Trusted Senders list.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. You are not on our list. Please email us to add your email: taxschools@cornell.edu<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. You have opted out (intentionally or accidentally). Please email us to opt in: taxschools@cornell.edu<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Our policies<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    Registration fees are based on the schools being offered and are made available once they are determined. Our early registration period offers discounted rates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • No Shows:<\/strong> Registrants who do not attend will be sent the materials handed out at the school.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Substitutions:<\/strong> of attendees is permitted but must be approved by the Registrar at least two weeks before<\/strong> the class date.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Security:<\/strong> We use technology to safeguard your information<\/li>\n\n\n\n
