Michael is Chairman of Anpha Holdings and Founder of M.I.K Corporation \u2013 two leading luxury product trading, real estate development and consultancy firms in Vietnam. The companies & affiliates successfully developed thousands of luxury condominiums, villas and landed homes in Vietnam, Malaysia, Myanmar and Singapore. In 2014, Michael added more than 500ha of beach-front land, which is now developing resorts under brands of IHG, Melia, and Movenpick. He also set the unparalleled benchmark for expat\u2019s luxury living by developing awarding The Ascott Limited, the world\u2019s largest serviced residence owner-operator, to manage its landmark waterfront building in Ho Chi Minh City. In addition, Michael was Senior BOD\u2019s Advisor of Hoa Binh Corp., the largest private construction company in Vietnam with international operations. His interest in wine collection made his French wine import business the largest in Vietnam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Before leaving for Vietnam, Michael was exposed to investment and operation over 125 cities in 25 countries with CapitaLand Group and Philips Electronics in Singapore. At 27 years old, he was CEO \/ President of Sacomreal \u2013 a leading real-estate developer and agency in Vietnam. He was concurrently a member of BOM of Sacombank Group \u2013 the largest financial group in Vietnam. Michael then led FutaCorp, a USD $2.5 billion worth of asset real-estate group and owner of the largest fleet of 1500 long distanced luxury coaches across Vietnam. In hospitality, he was Group CIO of Tuan Chau Group operating in hospitality, tourism, entertainment, and cruise-line in Halong Bay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As an ASEAN scholar, Michael graduated from Nanyang Technological University with a first-class honors degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. He was awarded \u201cBest Student of the Nation\u201d by the Vietnam President and he also won the International Young Inventor Award. Michael received the inaugural Philip Yeo CapitaLand scholarship for his Master of Management in Hospitality at Cornell University before. Michael now embarks on Ph.D. study at Singapore Management University as a part of his lifelong learning journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Michael is strongly supported by his broad knowledge and business network. Michael is now a member of BODs in several companies. He was also representative of UNESCO \u2013 Vietnam and the host of the famous \u201cProperties Talk\u201d series on the FBNC \u2013 Vietnam Financial Business News Channel. Michael is a guest speaker of BlackRock Inc., and several academic institutes namely Yale University, East Carolina University, Cornell University \u2013 USA, NTU Business School \u2013 Singapore, and CUHK University \u2013 Hong Kong. Michael is Case Sponsor, Case Writer and Judge for Cornell\u2019s International Real Estate Case Competition in Asia.
