Welcome to the Master of Management in Hospitality (MMH) program at the Cornell Peter and Stephanie Nolan School of Hotel Administration. This page brings together key resources to help you prepare for the program, connect with support and make the most of your graduate student experience. Orientation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

MMH Orientation is designed to help you begin the program with confidence. During orientation, you’ll meet classmates, Nolan School faculty and staff from the Office of Student Services, Advising, and Registrar. You’ll also participate in team-building activities and sessions focused on academic, professional and career success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Orientation typically includes a career development session, an introduction to the Hotel Graduate Student Organization<\/a> and a guided campus tour to help you get familiar with your new environment and available resources. More detailed orientation information will be shared with incoming students before the program begins. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Advising and student services<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Office of Student Services, Advising, and Registrar supports MMH students with academic advising, registration questions and general student support. Students may schedule an appointment with an academic advisor using the online scheduling tool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Career Development Center<\/h2>\n <\/div>\n\n

The Career Development Center helps MMH students explore career paths, prepare for recruiting and build confidence throughout the internship and job search process. Students are encouraged to meet with a career professional early, whether they are still exploring options or already focused on a specific path.<\/p>\n

Career support includes career exploration, internship and job search strategy, interview preparation, salary and job negotiation guidance, and resume and cover letter reviews. Students may schedule a meeting through the Online Appointment Scheduler Tool<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Professional attire support<\/a><\/h3>\n

Big Red Threads Hosted by Hilton provides professional clothing free of charge for interviews, information sessions, the Dean’s Distinguished Lecture Series and other recruiting events. The closet includes professional apparel for students of all genders and sizes, including suits, separates, dress shirts, blouses, pants, ties, belts and professional shoes. \r\n\r\nBig Red Threads Hosted by Hilton is located in Statler Hall 237 and is available to all Cornell SC Johnson College of Business students. Communication support<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Communication Center helps students strengthen written, oral and visual communication skills for academic and professional success. MMH students can schedule support for written assignments, oral presentations, PowerPoint slides and hybrid reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Communication Center is a skill-building resource, not an editing or proofreading service. Consultants follow Cornell’s Academic Integrity Code and help students become more independent, effective communicators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nolan School clubs and organizations include opportunities related to air and sea hospitality, lodging, nightlife, real estate, service, food and beverage, sales and marketing, asset management, entrepreneurship, research, and leadership.
