September 6 @ 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm EDT
Come visit us at our new location in 189 Statler Hall!
Your home for hospitality entrepreneurship – The Leland C. and Mary M. Pillsbury Institute for Hospitality Entrepreneurship at the Cornell Peter and Stephanie Nolan School of Hotel Administration will be hosting an open house in 189 Statler Hall on Tuesday, September 6th from 4:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Come check out our new space and learn more about PIHE programming and events including:
- Pitch Deck Competition – An experiential learning opportunity for student entrepreneurs who are contemplating, starting, or operating an early stage hospitality-based venture, and who are looking to improve their pitching skills, with the potential to earn seed funding for their venture.
- Hospitality Business Plan Competition – This student competition begins at the start of the academic year and ends in early spring when the student teams submit their final business plans and semi-finalist teams make their presentations to a judging panel that selects the top three concepts as winners.
- Hospitality Hackathons – An exciting way to bring together teams of motivated people of various backgrounds in a determined push to answer a specific question through self-expression and creative use of technology. Students analyze a series of challenges and must present solutions to these challenges with the help of supporting data. Students present these ideas to judges in a business or “shark tank” pitch to determine a winning team.
- Entrepreneurs in Residence – Meet one-on-one with successful entrepreneurs and receive advice on business development, networking, and career planning.
