2026 CICER Summer High School Program in Business, Economics & Data Analytics

2025 CICER High School Program Orientation

The Cornell Institute for China Economic Research (CICER) has been hosting an annual summer program in business & economics since 2017. Students take interactive courses in business, economics, and big data & data analytics. They also attend academic seminars, engage in discussion-based activities, and consult with Cornell’s faculty, staff, and students on college applications and choosing majors. This program offers students a great opportunity to experience the Ivy League academic environment and campus life, and learn about cutting-edge research from Cornell’s outstanding researchers, as well as make new friends!

This two-week summer program will start and end on 13 July 2026 and 25 July 2026 respectively. Online application will be open soon. We hope to meet you on the beautiful campus of Cornell University in the summer of 2026!

Application is now open. Spots are limited. Apply soon.

CORE COURSES: BUILDING KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

Students will gain a strong foundation in economics, global strategy, and business tools through the following interactive courses. All students will take two courses and an elective course (chosen during application).

Concerning the elective course, if one of the two courses has a low enrollment, we may eventually offer only one course. If two courses are offered, students may not change their option after the program has started.

BUSINESS COMPETITIONS: FROM THEORY TO PRACTICE

Students will step into real-world roles by engaging in two exciting experiential learning challenges:
