Undergraduate Women in Investing Conference
Thursday, September 26 - Friday, September 27, 2024; New York City
Founded in 2016 the Undergraduate Women in Investing Conference is modeled after our long-running MBA-WIN conference and is designed to educate undergraduate students about the rewarding career opportunities available in investment management, a field in which women are vastly underrepresented.
WIN is a forum for full-time undergraduate students from top universities around the country (sophomores, juniors, and seniors) and investment professionals from sponsoring firms to gather and:
- Network
- Hear perspectives on investment careers and related topics from industry representatives
- Learn from distinguished professionals in the industry
- Showcase their stock-picking skills in front of judges from sponsoring firm and obtain feedback on their pitches
More than 60 undergraduate students from top universities and representatives from top-tier investment management/financial service firms are expected to attend. WIN is an inclusive event and interested students of all gender identities are welcome to apply.
I wanted to thank you all for organizing and hosting the Cornell Undergraduate WIN Conference this year. It was absolutely wonderful to be able to meet so many incredible investment professionals and interact with such talented peers from all across the country. I learned so much through conversing with everyone and the feedback we received on our pitch. UG WIN has further stoked my passion for investment, and I am honored to have been a part of your conference.
Elaine Ma, Columbia Class of 2026
I gained an immeasurable amount of knowledge and connections within the brief 24 hours of the Cornell WIN Conference. Not only did the conference offer invaluable career advice and present professional opportunities, but I also made strong connections with other women at universities across the country, with whom I have remained in contact since the conference. Panelists and attendees alike, these are the women who are and will be breaking the glass ceiling for women in the investing industry.
Rhys Chambers, The George Washington University Class of 2025
Personally, I learned immensely from the competition and heard so many valuable insights from the investment professionals that were present last weekend. This was my first experience doing a stock pitch, and it was such an exhilarating experience to prepare and present.
Jessica Zhang, University of Pennsylvania Class of 2024
Reflecting on this experience, it has been one of my best experiences at [college]; not only did I learn more about the financial industry and the stock market, but I was also able to meet other outstanding women working in the financial sector.
Nicolle Ugarte, The George Washington University Class of 2024
