Our Blog: Cornell Tax Conferences – News from the Director
We conduct research and offer educational programs targeted toward tax preparers, consultants, and attorneys who work with and prepare tax returns for individuals, small businesses, and farmers.
The Cornell tax conferences has run continuously for over 70 years. Our current schools are taught by small business and farm tax experts. Qualifying program attendees are eligible for New York State Continuing Educational Credits (CPE).
Joe Baldwin leads the Tax School and brings many years of experience in both tax practice and tax education.
The programs are for Continuing Education credits by the IRS. Depending on the class there are 2, 8 or up to 16 CPE Credits Available for New York State CPA’s and 15 CPE Credits for Other Tax Return Preparers and Enrolled Agents. (The Fall classes also meets the requirements of the CFP Board.)
The tax school is led by Dario Arezzo. Dario has many years of tax experience, as well as, tax school teaching experience.
We do not offer the Annual EA Agent Program.
Cornell does not have NASBA (National Association of State Board of Accountancy) accreditation.

Our Programs
Two-Day Tax Conference
This is a faster paced program that covers tax law updates and individual (Form 1040) income tax issues, but also includes information on LLC, Partnership, Corporate, Estate and Gift Issues where applicable. It does not include a 2-hour Ethics presentation.
Ethics
Ethics is presented as a separate 2-hour virtual session. NOTE: The Ethics portion of the course is not approved for CPAs or CFPs. Ethics is for IRS requirements ONLY not NYS.
Entity and Specialty Seminars
A variety of detailed courses on business entities and issues such as Limited Liability Companies, estate and gift issues, and S Corporations.
