Inaugural Event of Cornell Institute for China Economic Research

On Oct 1st, 2015, the institute held the inaugural event where institute Co-Directors Panle Jia Barwick and Shanjun Li welcomed over 60 participants from many different units on campus. Laura Spitz, the interim Vice Provost for International Affairs, discussed how the institute fits into Cornell’s rich history and current efforts in internationalization.  A panel discussion on China’s growth challenges features Professors Yongmiao Hong (Department of Economics), Andrew Karolyi (Johnson School), Eswar Prasad (Dyson School), and Shanjun Li (Dyson School).
