HADM 4125/6125: Foundations of Social Entrepreneurship was offered for the first time this fall at SHA with an enrollment of 18 students. The course is designed to give students an overview of Social Entrepreneurship with a heavy emphasis on case studies and the Business Model Canvas. Here is what one student had to say about his experience:
“Social Entrepreneurship to me, was about how to help people in the most effective way possible. It cleared up a lot of misconceptions I had about a for profit versus a nonprofit, and provided real and actionable frameworks for me to both evaluate and consider starting my own social enterprises. The class was both educational and inspiring, and I walked away with a thorough understanding of the risks, challenges, and key considerations of the social venture space.”
