Executive Education Course Offers Back-of-House Access to Trendiest Sites in NYC
Exclusive. Trendy. Fascinating. Explore the New York City vibe for five special days this July while being treated to back-of-house access to some of the Big Apple’s most luxurious hotels and restaurants. This unique learning opportunity, the New York City Site Visit, is available through the Professional Development Program.
Led by restaurant operations experts and Cornell faculty members Giuseppe Pezzotti and Bob White, the New York City Site Visit allows participants to develop an understanding of management techniques through visiting and comparing different operations in the hospitality industry. At each site, a presenter (often an SHA alumnus) will give an introductory lecture, answer questions, and host an exclusive site tour that showcases the property’s most unique assets.
“I have been facilitating this course for over 20 years, and it continues to be an insightful and intriguing look into the hotels and restaurants of one of our most competitive cities,” said Pezzotti.
New York City Site Visit: Hotel and Foodservice Operations will be held July 11-15, 2011, following the Cornell Professional Development Program on the Ithaca campus. Applications for the New York City Site Visit should be received by March 31, 2011.
