Center Conferences

The center produces the annual National HR in Hospitality Conference.  Over a decade ago Cornell’s ILR School and Peter and Stephanie Nolan School of Hotel Administration developed content for the inaugural HR In Hospitality Conference run by our partner LRP Publications. In 2018, LRP graciously handed over the reins to our two schools and we assumed sole responsibility for the production of the conference.

Programming for the conference is developed by David Sherwyn, the John and Melissa Ceriale Professor of Hospitality Human Resources and director of the Cornell Center for Innovative Hospitality Labor and Employment Relations, and his co-chair, Bruce Tracey, the Kenneth and Marjorie Blanchard Professor of Human Resource Management, both of the Nolan School.

The center is also a major supporter of and contributor to other industry events, such as the annual Hotel and Lodging Legal Summit at Georgetown Law and the ALIS Law Conference.
