2019 Cornell Food Executive Program

Welcome!

We’re looking forward to your participation in this year’s Food Executive Progam at Cornell University. You join an impressive group of participants who, together with our outstanding faculty, will create a stimulating and challenging experience—one that will have a positive impact on your career.

Travel and Lodging

The program begins on Sunday, July 14 with a welcome reception at 6:30pm and concludes on Friday, July 19 at 11:30am. Sunday’s reception will be in the Carrier Ballroom on the 2nd floor of The Statler Hotel. The reception will be followed by dinner and then a program overview.

Please complete the travel survey as soon as possible, if you haven’t already done so.

We have reserved a room for you at The Statler Hotel, centrally located on the Cornell campus and connected to the School of Hotel Administration. Your tuition covers the cost of lodging for five nights from Sunday July 14 through Thursday July 18, (check-out on Friday, July 19).

Please keep in mind that if you have requested a room for Saturday, July 13, you will be responsible for the additional cost of lodging.

Schedule

Classes begin each day at 8:00am in The Statler Hotel and typically end in the late afternoon. You should plan to study and complete assignments each evening. It’s recommended that you bring a laptop to use for certain sessions. It is also strongly recommended that you complete as many assignments as possible prior to your arrival, please see the “Assignments” section below.

Dress

Attire for the entire program is business casual.

Meals

Continental breakfasts and lunches are provided, as well as continuous refreshments throughout the day. Breakfast is available in the lobby outside of the classroom beginning at 7:00am, and a buffet lunch will be provided in the Taylor/Rowe Room located upstairs.

You will be on your own for dinner on Monday July 15, and Wednesday July 17. This will provide an excellent opportunity to dine with your classmates at one of Ithaca’s many outstanding restaurants.

As a guest of The Statler Hotel, you have access to its 24-hour fitness center as well as Cornell University’s athletic facilities across campus. Bring your photo ID if you wish to use the facilities.
