Cornell Real Estate Faculty Participate in Shanghai Summit

Three members of the real estate faculty were instrumental in the success of the recent, sold-out Cornell International Summit: Hospitality, Real Estate, and the Built Environment, held in Shanghai, China. The school and CREF co-presented the summit with the College of Architecture, Art, and Planning. Professors Crocker Liu, Peng Liu, and Dan Quan helped with arrangements, and all three traveled to Shanghai for the summit. The meeting opened with the CREF China Real Estate Roundtable, a high-level discussion of China’s real estate market and the influence of changing capital markets on the commercial real estate market. Afternoon panel discussions included CEOs, Chinese government officials, senior executives, and Cornell faculty discussing specific issues relating to Chinese tourism and commerce.
