Jake Sneva Joins SHA as Director for Graduate Programs


Jake Sneva, SHA’s new director for graduate programs, has spent over a decade as a professional in higher education and has worked at several different colleges and universities across the country. His experience includes career and academic counseling, student programming, and program creation, management, and leadership. Most recently, he served as the associate director of the Cornell Commitment Office, where he oversaw the prestigious Cornell Tradition Fellowship program.

Sneva has also spent considerable time conducting scholarly research on the student experience. His areas of focus have been career development, academic achievement, and the experience of college students of color.

Sneva, who holds EdM and PhD degrees in higher education administration, will head up SHA’s programs for Master of Management in Hospitality (MMH), MS, and PhD students and will devote much of his attention to MMH student programming and professional development.
