The Center for Real Estate Finance and the Hospitality Asset Managers Association (HAMA) recently announced the winners of the 2010-11 HAMA student competition—Bridgette Summers ’11, Molly Pomeroy ’11, and Teresa Lee ’11. The winning projects were “Redefining the Helmsley Park Lane,” by Summers and Pomeroy, and “Trends in Hotel E-Commerce,” by Lee.
These entries were chosen from a substantial field of contenders, according to Cody Bradshaw, vice president, acquisitions, at Pebblebrook Hotel Trust. Entries in the HAMA contest could include hold or sell analysis, research on key labor issues, analysis of e-commerce strategy, or an asset management plan. The winning entries will be presented at the upcoming HAMA spring conference, and the students will have the opportunity to meet personally with HAMA members. The Hospitality Asset Managers Association is a networking organization of more than 140 professionals involved in asset management, acquisition, and disposition for hotels and other hospitality real estate and assets.
