CHR to Host International Service Excellence Conference
Five keynote speakers will be featured at the 12th International Research Symposium on Service Excellence in Management (QUIS12), which will be hosted by the Center for Hospitality Research, June 2-5, 2011. Representing a widely diverse set of disciplines, the keynote speakers are Ted Teng ’79, president and CEO, the Leading Hotels of the World; Sanjay Sarma, professor of mechanical engineering, MIT; Gina Pingitore, chief research officer, J.D. Power and Associates; Conny Kalcher, vice president, consumer experiences, LEGO Company; and Stuart Greif, vice president and general manager, global travel and hospitality practice, J.D. Power and Associates.
QUIS is held every second year in a different location worldwide and focuses on improving service management practice, primarily through rigorous academic research on industry issues, but also through top-level industry presentations. The 2009 conference, QUIS11, was held in Wolfsburg, Germany, with presentations on such topics as service strategy, service leadership and culture, service marketing, service recovery and complaint management, and service customer satisfaction.
