Academic Seminar in Environmental and Urban Economics
The Fall 2012 semester saw the debut of a new seminar series, sponsored by the Center for Real Estate and Finance, the Cornell Economics Department, and the Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. The seminar series on Environmental and Urban Economics was developed by Associate Professor Antonio Bento of the Dyson School and by Crocker Liu, the Robert A. Beck Professor of Hospitality Financial Management at the School of Hotel Administration. The sessions highlight some of the latest developments in environmental, energy, urban, and real estate economics and their synergies.
Among the visiting speakers were Arthur van Benthem, of the Wharton School, Johannes Stroebel of the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business, Christopher Timmons, of Duke University, Stuart Rosenthal, of Syracuse University, and Sir Parta Dagupta, of the University of Cambridge.
