Biography

Jodi Glickman is the CEO and founder of Great on the Job, where she works with leading organizations and Fortune 100 companies to strengthen communication and interpersonal skills across all levels of talent. Her online courses have reached millions of learners worldwide.

Glickman joins the faculty of the Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management, part of the Cornell SC Johnson College of Business, after teaching as an adjunct lecturer at the Kellogg School of Management from 2021 to 2025 and after more than a decade of guest speaking and lecturing at Harvard Business School, the Wharton School, Kellogg School of Management, Stanford Graduate School of Business, the University of Chicago, the University of Michigan, the University of Illinois and Ohio State University.

She has appeared on the TEDx stage (“Why You Should Stop Looking for Work You Love”), is the author of Great on the Job: What to Say, How to Say It, The Secrets of Getting Ahead (St. Martin’s Press) and is a contributor to the Harvard Business Review.

Glickman regularly weighs in on workplace and leadership issues and has been featured in the New York Times, USA Today, U.S. News & World Report, BusinessWeek, Fortune, Forbes, WSJ Finance, CNN Money, Glamour, Shape, Real Simple, the Chicago Tribune, the Huffington Post and other outlets.

A former Peace Corps volunteer in southern Chile turned investment banker at Goldman Sachs turned communication expert, Glickman received her MBA from the Johnson School, where she was awarded a full ride Park Leadership Fellowship. During business school, she talked her way into a summer internship with ExxonMobil — without interviewing. Before entering finance, she worked as a policy analyst at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and held roles at the White House and the Governor’s Office of Illinois. She earned a B.S. in social policy, magna cum laude, from Northwestern University’s School of Education and Social Policy.

Glickman serves on the board of The Night Ministry in Chicago and is a former member of the Northwestern University Council of 100, a former board member of ReadWorks.org and a former trustee of the Brooklyn Children’s Museum. She lives in Chicago with her husband and three children and enjoys hiking, biking and eating hot fudge sundaes — not necessarily in that order.
