Marketing & management communications
The Cornell SC Johnson College of Business is home to internationally recognized faculty in marketing and management communication whose research shapes how organizations connect with customers, employees and stakeholders. Faculty study a wide range of marketing challenges, with particular strengths in services and hospitality marketing, food and eating, digital marketing, marketing analytics and consumer decision‑making. In management communication, faculty research is helping define best practices for how managers communicate clearly, ethically and effectively in today’s fast‑moving organizations.
Faculty teach a broad portfolio of courses across undergraduate, professional graduate and doctoral programs, blending theory with hands on learning. Marketing courses emphasize services marketing, brand strategy, quantitative skills, immersion based experiences and food focused business challenges. Management communication courses develop students’ written, oral and interpersonal skills, with a focus on informative and persuasive presentations, strategic messaging, crisis communication, intercultural communication and leadership communication. Together, these offerings prepare students to influence decisions, lead teams and communicate with confidence throughout their careers.
