Laura Georgianna

Biography

Laura Georgianna is a teaching professor of management and organizations, executive director of leadership programs and the Donald F. Douglas Director of the Roy H. Park Leadership Fellows Program at the Cornell SC Johnson College of Business. In these roles, she oversees the Johnson School’s perspective on leadership and the strategy for building leadership capability across the MBA community. She teaches a wide range of leadership courses and development experiences and uses her executive coaching background to provide one on one support to students throughout their MBA journey.

Georgianna has spent her career working with leaders and organizations to help them deliver results, grow their businesses and achieve long term goals. Before joining the Johnson School, she worked at Cornell University’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations (ILR), where she designed and taught intrapreneurial leadership programs for companies around the world. Prior to Cornell, she served as senior director of organization capability and development at Welch Allyn Inc., leading talent management, leadership development, performance management and organizational development. She also held roles in executive education, transformational change and organizational development at Merck & Co. Inc., and earlier worked in account services leadership at Thomson Financial, now Thomson Reuters.

She earned an MBA with distinction from the Johnson School, where she was a Roy H. Park Leadership Fellow, and an MILR from Cornell’s ILR School.
