Maria Wolfe

Biography
Maria Wolfe is a teaching professor of management communication at the Cornell Peter and Stephanie Nolan School of Hotel Administration, part of the Cornell SC Johnson College of Business. She teaches courses in business writing, persuasive communication and oral delivery skills, drawing on more than 25 years of experience in teaching communication and management in the U.S. and abroad.
Wolfe holds a Ph.D. in rhetoric and professional communication and has earned multiple teaching excellence awards. Her expertise also shaped two eCornell courses — Impactful Unscripted Communication and Virtual Communication.
Beyond her academic teaching, Wolfe works with business professionals and industry groups to strengthen written and oral communication, stage presence, leadership messaging and strategies for overcoming speech anxiety. In addition to her teaching and coaching, Wolfe serves as director of the Communication Center at the Nolan School.
