Regional Roundtable

The Cornell Institute for Hospitality Labor and Employment Relations held its first Regional Area Roundtable on May 18, 2015 in Chicago, Illinois. The event was hosted by the institute’s partners—Michael Gray of Jones Day, and David Ritter of Barnes & Thornburg—at the Barnes & Thornburg Chicago office.

Regional roundtables are a forum to disseminate reach and to discuss relevant and timely topics. Issues selected for discussion at this regional event included (1) joint employer doctrine as it applies to franchising, employee leasing, and other employment forms; (2) effects of the Supreme Court analyzing/expanding religious and pregnancy accommodation rights; and (3) latest issues and concerns over wage and hour law.
