The 2026 Cornell Cañizares Center for Emerging Markets Mark Mobius Pitch Competition theme is “From Headwinds to Horizons: Unlocking Emerging Market Potential.”
After reviewing 104 incredible submissions from entrepreneurs across the globe, our committee has selected five finalists and two runners-up who will go on to compete at the Cornell Center for Emerging Markets Conference this November in New York City.

These teams will spend the summer working with the Johnson Summer Startup Accelerator (JSSA) to prepare for their live pitch in November — an opportunity typically reserved exclusively for Cornell students. We are so proud to extend this to our global community this year.

The five finalists will join the Johnson Summer Startup Accelerator (JSSA) at Cornell University.
Pitch competition: 5 Finalists
On November 5, the five finalists will pitch to a panel of leading VCs and business angels to be chosen as the winner.
Global pitch competition
On November 6 the winner will present during the annual conference at Cornell Weill Medical Center in NYC.
