Biography
Daniela Scur is an assistant professor at the Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management, part of the Cornell SC Johnson College of Business. She studies how organizational practices shape firm and labor outcomes across countries and industries, with work spanning manufacturing firms, family businesses, multinationals, schools, principals and teachers. Her research examines productivity, profitability and profit shifting, as well as labor sorting, inequality in wages and opportunity and issues related to mental health.
Scur is affiliated with the Center for Economic and Policy Research and the Productivity Partnership, and she is a research fellow at the London School of Economics with the Centre for Economic Performance. She is also a faculty fellow at the Cornell Smith Family Business Initiative and an invited researcher at J PAL Latin America and the Caribbean and J PAL North America. Her work includes two major global data collection efforts: the World Management Survey and the Development WMS, which support research on management practices and organizational performance.
