Harry M. Kaiser

Biography
Harry M. Kaiser is the Gellert Family Professor Emeritus in the Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management at Cornell University. Kaiser has written 160 refereed journal articles, six books, 17 book chapters, and over 200 research bulletins, and received $8 million in research grants in these areas, and is a fellow of the Agricultural and Applied Economics Association. Professor Kaiser retired on June 30, 2026, but is still very active in research.
In 2005, Kaiser was elected president of the Northeastern Agricultural and Resource Economics Association. He received the highest award given to alumni of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire—the Alumni Distinguished Achievement Award. Kaiser also received the Outstanding Achievement Award from the Board of Regents of the University of Minnesota, which is the highest award conferred by the university to an alumnus. Kaiser received the Outstanding Alumni Award from the Department of Applied Economics, University of Minnesota, in 2009. In 2025, Professor Kaiser received the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Faculty Service.
