Biography
Jacqueline Rifkin is an assistant professor of marketing and management communications at the Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management, part of the Cornell SC Johnson College of Business. She studies consumer behavior and consumer psychology, focusing on the beliefs people hold about themselves, others and the world, and how those beliefs shape — and are shaped by — consumer actions. Her research has appeared in Nature, Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Marketing, Journal of Personality and Social Psychology and Psychological Science, and has been featured by Hidden Brain, The Boston Globe and The Wall Street Journal.
Rifkin earned her Ph.D. in marketing from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and holds a B.A. in psychology from the University of Pennsylvania. Before entering academia, she worked in both marketing and market research industries.
