Patrick Nichols was appointed president and chief executive officer of The Venetian Resort Las Vegas in 2022. This new role marks a return “home” for Nichols, who began his career with the iconic resort as a financial analyst. With nearly 20 years of experience in gaming and hospitality and a proven track record for success, Nichols now leads the resort’s $1.5 billion reinvestment project, aiming to modernize and invigorate every aspect of the resort. He also oversees daily operations of The Venetian Resort, one of the largest resorts in the world.
Prior to his appointment at The Venetian Resort, Nichols was general manager and chief strategy officer at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, leading the strategic planning, new business development, construction, and design, and non-gaming operations.
In 2019, Nichols was recognized on the Vegas Inc “40 Under 40” list and in 2016 was named an “Emerging Leader of Gaming” by The Innovation Group and to Global Gaming Business Magazine’s “40 Under 40.” He earned his undergraduate degree in hotel administration from Cornell University. Nichols grew up in Minnesota and worked for his parents’ hotels, starting in the hospitality industry early. In his spare time, he enjoys sailing, golfing, and spending time with his family.
