Biography
Jinhua Zhao was appointed as the David J. Nolan Dean of the Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management on July 1, 2021.
Before joining Dyson, he was a professor of economics and director of the Environmental Science and Policy Program at Michigan State University. He served on the Environmental Economics Advisory Committee of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Science Advisory Board as well as the Air, Climate and Energy Committee of EPA’s Board of Scientific Counselors.
He also defined the Dyson Code of Culture, outlining the school’s core tenets of excellence, respect and responsibility. This code aims to embed social impact into the practices of Dyson School faculty, staff and students.
