Alex Koch '04

Biography

Alex Koch ’04 has more than 20 years of experience in hospitality, gaming and real estate. He began his career at the Harvard Club of New York City and, after graduating from the School of Hotel Administration (now the Cornell Peter and Stephanie Nolan School of Hotel Administration) at Cornell University in 2004, entered the gaming industry with Golden Nugget. He later worked in Las Vegas, including at The Venetian Resort.

For the past 17 years, Koch has been with Eureka Casinos and The Famlee Company, where he has held a range of leadership roles focused on driving profitability and building a strong organizational culture. He currently serves as vice president of asset management and development, overseeing a portfolio of commercial, residential, hospitality and gaming assets, as well as family office operations, private equity activity, strategic direction and acquisitions and dispositions.

A native of Deer Park, New York, Koch lives in Las Vegas with his wife, Ellen, their two daughters and their dog.

Koch credits much of his career to the Cornell Hotel Society and the Cornell community. He currently serves as global president of the Cornell Hotel Society, co-president of the Class of 2004 and a member of the Cornell University Council.
