Capuano joined Marriott in 1995 and played a key role in its growth, including the acquisition of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide in 2016. The company now operates more than 7,600 properties across 133 countries and territories and includes 30 brands. It also manages Marriott Bonvoy, the travel industry’s largest loyalty program, with more than 147 million members.

In 2009, Capuano assumed global development responsibility, added oversight of global design in 2014 and global operations in 2020.
