Biography
Cesar Kastoun is a visiting lecturer in Strategic Decision Modeling at the Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell SC Johnson College of Business. Kastoun has extensive experience as a practitioner and as a trusted advisor; in the formulation and implementation of business strategy, mergers & acquisitions (M&A), value creation, advanced analytics; as well as in the deployment and application of artificial intelligence (AI) for the benefit of strategy, mergers & acquisitions, and value creation.
Kastoun currently leads the North-American expansion of SEALK, an AI-powered platform focused on deal sourcing and market insights. Before that, for five years, Kastoun led a team of data scientists and M&A professionals focused on the use of AI tools and advanced analytics to improve the speed and effectiveness of activities throughout the strategy and M&A lifecycle, including sensing, smart discovery, simulations, machine learning-based modeling, automated data collection, fuzzy matching, textual analyses, and natural language processing.
Kastoun holds a MS in computer engineering and an MBA. He studied and worked in the United States, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
