Biography
Dave Pollin is co-founder and president of The Buccini/Pollin Group, based in Washington, D.C., and Wilmington, Delaware. He also serves as chairman of PM Hotel Group, the firm’s hotel management affiliate. Pollin leads the company’s hotel acquisition, development and capital markets efforts.
Since its founding in 1993, The Buccini/Pollin Group has acquired and developed more than $5 billion in properties across all real estate asset classes in the United States. The firm is developer, owner and operator of more than 50 hotels, 7 million square feet of office space, 15 major residential communities, retail properties and sports and entertainment venues.
Among its affiliates, PM Hotel Group manages more than 60 hotels and oversees more than $600 million in revenue. Other business units include BPGS Construction, which provides general contracting and owner representation services; BPG 360, which develops and manages office projects; and Reside BPG, which oversees multifamily residential initiatives. Corten Real Estate Partners, established in 2018, serves as the firm’s discretionary investment platform. The principals of The Buccini/Pollin Group are also co-founders and owners of Major League Soccer’s Philadelphia Union and developed the team’s home stadium in Chester, Pennsylvania.
Pollin serves on the Dean’s Advisory Board for the Cornell Peter and Stephanie Nolan School of Hotel Administration and the Cornell University Council. His additional affiliations include vice president of the Economic Club of Washington; trustee of the Federal City Council; trustee of The Holton-Arms School in Bethesda, Maryland; and member of Canopy by Hilton’s owner advisory council. He is also education chair of the YPO Gold U.S. Capital Chapter and a founding board member of Founders Bank.
Earlier in his career, Pollin served on boards and advisory councils for organizations including Monument Bank, Starwood Hotels & Resorts and Hilton’s Embassy Suites brand. He is a former regional chair of the Young Presidents’ Organization and co-founder and former board president of the Starlight Children’s Foundation MidAtlantic.
Before co-founding The Buccini/Pollin Group, Pollin worked as a consultant with Laventhol & Horwath and held operations roles with Westin and Sheraton. He is a graduate of the School of Hotel Administration (now the Cornell Peter and Stephanie Nolan School of Hotel Administration) at Cornell University.
