Biography
Kristin Chen ILR ‘11 is an accomplished product leader, startup advisor, fractional Chief Product Officer (CPO), and executive/career coach with over fifteen years of experience building, scaling, and leading high-impact teams across the tech industry. She has held executive (CEO, CPO) and product leadership roles at tech unicorns and early stage startups including LinkedIn, Twitch, Pinterest, SoundCloud, Top.gg, and Metatheory.
Kristin has a proven track record coaching individuals at all career stages from founders, C-level executives and leaders, to people managers, individual contributors, new graduates, and students across a wide variety of functions and industries. She empowers clients at any stage of their job search from strategy, networking, and professional brand makeovers (resumes and LinkedIn profiles), to interview preparation and negotiation. She is especially passionate about partnering with leaders who are tackling new challenges, transitioning to new roles, and navigating promotions. She also enthusiastically supports leaders who are exploring portfolio careers or launching fractional practices.
Kristin actively mentors with Cornell Tech and serves on the Board of Directors for Partners in School Innovation, a non-profit that transforms teaching and learning in the lowest-performing public schools to help every student, regardless of background, thrive in academics. Her commitment to helping others achieve their career potential began at Cornell University, where she graduated with a B.S. in Industrial and Labor Relations and worked in the ILR Office of Career Services supporting fellow students.
