Biography

Scott D. Stewart is a clinical professor of finance and accounting at the Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management. He is faculty co-director of the Parker Center for Investment Research and a designated manager of the Cayuga Fund. He earned a doctorate in finance from Cornell University and an MBA from the Johnson School.

Stewart’s research focuses on portfolio management, institutional investor behavior, equity valuation, financial technology and management education. His work has been published in the Financial Analysts Journal, Journal of Portfolio Management and Financial Review. He serves as an associate editor of the Journal of Risk Finance and has co-authored Portfolio Management Theory and Practice and Manager Selection.

A CFA charterholder, Stewart has received a Graham and Dodd Scroll Award from the Financial Analysts Journal and multiple research awards from the Financial Education Association. Before joining Cornell, he spent more than 15 years in portfolio management, including 14 years at Fidelity Investments, where he founded and led the Structured Investments Group. His experience also includes senior roles at State Street Global Advisors.

Prior to Cornell, Stewart taught at Boston University, where he served as faculty director of the graduate program in investment management.
