Biography
Soonbong Lee is an assistant professor of operations, technology, and information management at the Cornell SC Johnson College of Business. Using optimization, data science, and mathematical modeling, his research studies the design of platforms and policy interventions for tackling societal challenges, with the goal of enhancing the social impact of nonprofit and public-sector organizations and providing broader insights for policymakers. His work thus far has spanned refugee resettlement, online food rescue platforms, and diversity policies in labor markets, in part through close collaboration with national nonprofit organizations.
