Biography

Stuart Kapp is a partner at Kapp Morrison LLP. Before founding the firm, Kapp spent 23 years as a partner in the real estate department at Proskauer. Kapp Morrison is a Florida‑based boutique law firm handling transactions nationwide.

Kapp has managed a wide range of real estate matters, including acquisitions, sales, leasing and financing of commercial properties and hotels in Florida and across the United States. His practice spans all sizes and types of transactions, representing commercial real estate investment funds, developers and private investors. He also has extensive experience in entrepreneurial real estate and business matters. His corporate work focuses on stock and asset deals, investment transactions and private equity matters, and he frequently advises on litigation management and strategy.

He has long been active in community service and professional organizations. He has served on the board of directors for the South Florida Chapter of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America, acted as an attorney for the Cocaine Baby Guardian Ad Litem Project and served on the board of Debbie’s Dream Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to finding a cure for stomach cancer.

Kapp is a graduate of Vassar College and holds a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Pennsylvania and a J.D. from Cornell Law School. He spent his junior year studying at the London School of Economics and currently serves on the advisory board for the Pillsbury Institute for Hospitality Entrepreneurship at Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration.
