Master’s in Hospitality Management

The leading hospitality master’s degree for a global industry

Hospitality is a global industry shaped by capital, brand, real estate, and experience.

The Cornell Master of Management in Hospitality (MMH) is a one-year, full-time, in-person program designed for professionals who want to lead across that environment that spans hotels, travel platforms, restaurants and hospitality investment organizations.

You will develop the ability to move beyond operations and understand how hospitality businesses grow, scale and compete within one of the most powerful hospitality networks in the world.

Why this matters now

Today’s hospitality leaders operate across a far more complex landscape. Investment structures, global expansion, asset management and changing consumer expectations are redefining how businesses compete.

Organizations need leaders who understand both execution and financial performance, and how each shapes guest experience and long-term value. This program teaches you how to operate across these dimensions to be better positioned to lead, adapt and create value in a diverse, rapidly evolving, global industry.

Global opportunities and collaborative degrees

The Masters of Management in Hospitality includes opportunities to expand your experience beyond Cornell through select international collaborations. One option is a partnership with the Kyoto University Graduate School of Management, where students can engage with a different academic environment and gain exposure to business practices in Japan.

This collaboration is designed to complement the MMH curriculum by offering the opportunity to earn both an MMH and an MBA, and gain a broader global perspective on hospitality, real estate and service-driven industries. Students benefit from learning alongside peers in an international setting and exploring how business strategy and operations vary across markets.

Program structure and participation details vary, and interested students can learn more about eligibility and application through program advising and partner institution resources.
