Cornell MBA Future Leaders Program

The Cornell MBA Future Leaders Program is a deferred admissions program that grants exceptional and ambitious seniors or graduate students the opportunity to secure a spot in the prestigious two-year residential Cornell MBA program within three to five years post-graduation. This unique pathway allows students to obtain valuable industry experience, thereby ensuring they are well-prepared and poised for success upon entering the MBA program.

Deferred MBA program overview

Cornell MBA Future Leaders Program candidates are required to have a minimum of three years and a maximum of five years of professional work experience prior to enrolling in the program. This range ensures that students have accumulated sufficient practical knowledge and skills, while still being early enough in their careers to fully benefit from the program’s advanced curriculum and professional development opportunities.

Who should apply?

Candidates in their senior year of an undergraduate program or those currently enrolled in a graduate program immediately after completing their undergraduate studies, without any work experience in between.

Applicants from all academic and professional backgrounds are welcome to apply.

Deferred MBA admissions process

Applicants will apply to the two-year Cornell MBA program and will specify their interest to the Cornell MBA Future Leaders Program. Admissions will be looking for candidates who demonstrate strong quantitative ability through their academic performance, required standardized test scores, and relevant experience or projects that highlight their analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities.

Scholarships and financial aid will be awarded at the time of matriculation. Additional scholarships will be awarded to those applying from Cornell programs.
