The Cayuga Fund teams
The Cayuga Fund is managed by multiple teams who gain experience through training and classes.
Portfolio Managers
Portfolio Managers leave Johnson exceptionally well prepared to make an immediate impact on the financial firms they join.
Their experience in applying cutting-edge theory to managing real assets goes far beyond the norm in graduate management education. Moreover, students also leave Johnson with a superb network of contacts, including those who have provided advice and feedback on the students’ research and investment ideas. The success of our graduates is reflected in their professional positions.

Equity Research Associates
Research Associates interested in participating in the management of the Cayuga Fund must take NBA 4120 – Equity Investments and Analysis as a prerequisite. They will then be able to enroll in NBA 5121 – Applied Portfolio Management, in the fall semester.
First-Year Sector Analysts
First-year MBA students interested in fundamental research begin their training in the summer and fall of their first year by pursuing the summer prep program, one-day Stock Camp, participating in the Investment Management Club and working on their own. This is in addition to completing coursework in finance, accounting, and business strategy and management. In early October, students may apply for participation as First Year Cayuga Fund Analysts. Students are accepted after demonstrating a strong interest in investment management and a commitment to supporting the Fund.
Students complete several assignments to earn course credit. Students work with Cayuga Fund Portfolio Managers to identify industries to research during the year. They participate in sector team meetings and in the regular Fund investment meetings.
