Biography
Melissa Cohen is an experienced healthcare investor and operator with a background in entrepreneurship and nonprofit health system leadership. She’s the chief innovation and transformation officer at Cayuga Health System, overseeing innovation, joint-venture transactions, and strategic planning. Previously, Cohen served as the managing director at Endeavor Health (formerly Northshore-Edward-Elmhurst Health) in Chicagoland, where she successfully established and managed a corporate venture fund program, leading to a significant increase in fund size and successful post-merger integration. She is also co-founder and former CEO of Tafi.io, a healthcare startup (exited). A former teaching assistant at University of Chicago Booth School of Business, Cohen holds a bachelor's degree in psychology with a focus on neuroscience and molecular genetics from Loyola University Chicago. She is actively involved in mentorship, DEI initiatives, and angel investing.
