Marketing research at the Johnson School
In the marketing Ph.D. concentration, you’ll explore how theories from operations, economics, psychology and sociology intersect with consumer and corporate decisions.
Our program approaches marketing from two distinct perspectives: a psychological, behavioral orientation and a quantitative, empirical one. Your electives will explore both, covering topics such as:
- judgement and decision-making
- social psychological perspectives
- machine learning models
- structural models in marketing
As you complete coursework related to your marketing concentration, you’ll develop an idea for your dissertation topic and start to form your faculty committee.
